FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS TO A RENOWNED NAME IN JOINERY CRAFTMANSHIP

From our humble beginnings in 2006, sharing a small factory space in Strand, SUBLIME CUPBOARDS has grown into a leading name in joinery installation.
Named after the word sublime, meaning “of very great excellence or beauty”, we strive to bring joy and quality to every project. With a dedicated team, we’ve expanded to a larger factory, serving a loyal client base locally and internationally.

Henry and Charl Roux, brothers and founders of Sublime Cupboards, have a background in aviation engineering working for Aerodyne Aviation Technology in the early 2000’s. The unique skills and experience working in a high precision environment equipped them to bring that precision into an industry where precision was a relative idea.

In the early days of Sublime Cupboards Henry still consulted at AAT as a tool designer and CNC programmer, ensuring a smooth transition to the next generation taking over from Henry at AAT.

Charl has almost two decades of experience at Sublime Cupboards and is the backbone of our process planning and execution. Charl oversees our team of artisans in an industry that requires quick results and outcomes.

We have expanded from installing entry level kitchen and bedroom cupboards to handling large commercial and residential projects on a local, national and international scale. We have humbly stayed true to our motto of finding solutions for clients in every sphere of society – fitting out clinics in informal settlements, guiding first-time homeowners on a budget, making dreams come true for the discerning client to shopfitting retail stores locally and across our borders.
